Angler Fish
A somewhat strange looking and terrifying looking fish to some people the first time they see them as they have a large mouth with big sharp teeth that point inwards to hold fish that it preys on and the body tapers towards the tail and flattens off as well, it’s a dark mottled brown on top and has a creamy white belly. It has a protuberance that it can move in any direction to lure fish near it and then when the fish is in range it will snap forward and engulf the prey with its mouth.
These fish can reach 6ft and 250lbs but that is in the deep ocean generally around the shore they are half the size the largest caught from the shore is around 68lb.
Angler fish is considered a great table fish with the tail, mid section and cheeks.
